All Clearview PVCu windows are steel reinforced to comply with British Standard BS7950/7412 (formerly PAS011:1994) Improved Security for Domestic Dwellings. All material used conforms to BS1449, BS EN 10143 and BS 2994.
High Security
Shootbolts, espagnolette and claw hook locking devices are fitted as standard to the Clearview PVCu window. These are manufactured from stainless steel and lock into stainless steel keeps. A unique additional security feature is that the shootbolt also has espagnolette rollers, making it one of the most secure fasteners on the market.
All sashes on a Clearview PVCu windows have specifically designed claw locks fitted as standard, to prevent the sash from being jemmied open. this, together with our high security stainless steel hinges, provides for the absolutely highest security on any window.
All our windows are slim line internally beaded which makes removal of the glass from outside impossible.
Secured by Design
Windows and doors supplied by Clearview PVCu have been accredited with the Secured by Design Police Preferred Specification Security Product License.
These products have passed standards and tests nominated by the police service. Research shows that Secured by Design can reduce burglary and car crime by 50% and criminal damage 25%.
